I don’t mean to be mean, but well I was never in love tumblr. I used it because I had to have a tumblr blog for a class. That was now over a year ago. I want to be a better blogger, meaning more posts about a wider range of things. I’m hoping my new platform will give the jump start I need.
What I’m really saying is, check out my new blog: That’s So City

I was never in love with my portfolio site when I graduated back in May. Now here it is September and I’m still job searching, which is getting to be a little frustrating. It’s had me thinking a lot lately about my work, how I’m showcasing it, and how I’m going to get to where I want to be. There are numerous reasons why I don’t like my current portfolio website, the BIGGEST being it is NOT EASY to add more work. Since graduation, I designed my own wedding invitations, programs and place cards. And I am also working on save the date cards and invites for a friend’s wedding. I would like to be able to add this work, along with another wedding invite I did for my sister to my online portfolio, especially since I think it’s my niche, it’s what I want to do for a living…design wedding, birthday party, open house, bridal and baby shower invitations.
I’ve been looking all over including here for inspiration. I really like the idea of a one page portfolio site. Why not put all the work up front? That’s what people are going to the site to see right?
